Black diamond s 9 6mm rope was designed to do everything well and stand up to a beating while doing it. This is solely for my gym rope which keeps it clean and is very easy to use. Black diamond released its rope line in january offering a total of 13 new cords from beefy 9 9mm gym ropes to a 7 8mm half rope. Think everything from working projects to red pointing general cragging and even taking beginning climbers out top roping.

The black diamond gym 30 is a great addition to the range and well thought out. So happy i purchased this thank you black diamond. I reckon if i was using a leading wall more often i would opt for the gym 35 which would easily be big enough for my kit and a 40m rope. At 2 1 ounces per meter the 9 2mm full dry is the lightest of the single ropes designed for use in any season.
